Overview
With 5.8 million subscribers, U.S. Cellular actually ranks as the eighth largest wireless network in the U.S. What it lacks in overall coverage — it covers only 92.6 million potential customers — it compensates for with customer service.
Pros: US Cellular offers a number of plans that can fit any individual’s or family’s needs. They are also renown for their customer service, boasting one of the best customer retention rates in the industry. Their 5 percent discount program can help many customer save every month.
Cons: Their limited network range prevents many people from choosing US Cellular. They also got into the 4G LTE game late, and have very few markets covered.

If you live in Chicago, you’re dealt with them in one way or another. Let’s just say I’m glad I don’t live in Chicago anymore.
I’ve never been impressed with US Cellular. They always seem to be behind the major carriers in terms of phones and service (i.e. 4G). Not to mention, they like to announce ‘new’ features that other carriers had 6 months to a year ago as though they are something groundbreaking.
