Verizon Wireless News
Verizon Wireless ranks as America’s largest wireless carrier, boasting over 111 million subscribers. For years it trailed AT&T, but in 2009 it acquired Alltel Wireless, vaulting it past AT&T. Established in 1999 as a joint venture between UK-based Vodafone and Bell Atlantic, Verizon has steadily grown through the years. It currently owns the largest 4G LTE network in the country, and plans to have its services fully rolled out by 2013.
