I honestly can’t get enough of all these new features for your BlackBerry. Whether it acts as a coupon or your boarding pass, life is becoming far easier for us BB Geeks. Today we’re seeing the launch of a remote car rental reservation service. This is available through Qdrivium — no, that won’t hold up in Scrabble. I found the perfect line in the press release, so rather than butchering it by paraphrasing: “…business users can now make a car reservation while on the road or out of the office — while still allowing travel managers control over corporate wide transportation budgets and uphold contract terms with transportation service providers.” Basically, all of your travel arrangements can be taken care of from your BlackBerry — or will be in the very near future. We’ve seen the ability to book a flight, book a hotel, check into a flight, and now the ability to obtain a rental car. And then there are GPS services that will tell you where you can eat and where you can buy your essentials — or just some nice souvenirs.
“This announcement continues our commitment with corporate clients to be able to leverage existing business devices and deliver advanced capabilities such as making a reservation on a BlackBerry while still providing accurate, consistent and reliable billing of car service transportation expenses.” said Fletcher Chenn, President and CEO.
