This week we’re not talking about the PlayBook or the touchscreen device that might be called the Volt. We’re not even talking about the Bold Touch. We’re talking about the future of RIM. A recent article got me thinking about it, and it makes me realize that 2011 is important for RIM. The idea for this week’s podcast was inspired by a post by John Paczkowski on All Things D. It cites a report by Wunderlich Securities analyst Matthew Robison, who has some pessimistic views about the future of RIM. Worse, they’re long-term pessimistic views. I didn’t find his comments totally off the mark, but had to add a few qualifiers. 2011 is a real big year for RIM, really.
