But then we heard some more news on Thursday afternoon that makes this one of the more interesting weeks in recent memory. Highlights include:
BB GeekcastAfter we learned about four new GSM BlackBerry models a few weeks ago, I wondered where the CDMA models were. Was RIM’s relationship with Verizon fractured? Apparently not. This week we got word of four CDMA models that should hit later this year. I guess all of RIM’s efforts are going into the PlayBook, hence the lack of first half smartphone releases. But this crop looks good. It’s comparable to the GSM model, but with one notable addition. And, again, the possibility of Android apps on the PlayBook is fascinating. I offer my take on it, and solicit opinions to the contrary. After all, there has to be another side to this.
