Today marks the third anniversary of the BBGeekcast. I didn’t mention it on the show, because I’m all humble like that. (Or, you know, I forgot it while I was recording. Either way.) In celebration, we talk about the latest on the BlackBerry devices we’re craving. So click on over here to hear the BBGeekcast (9 min, 38 sec) And don’t forget to subscribe to the podcast so you won’t miss future episodes!
You can also subscribe to the BBGeekcast in iTunes.
Highlights include:
We got some visuals on a few of the models this week. These include the Monaco — i.e., the touch device — and the Montana/Dakota — i.e., the QWERTY/touch devices. Visual evidence is always compelling, though not necessarily on an audio broadcast. This leads to a tangent on battery power vs. processor power. BlackBerry Protect will drop soon, too. This is something worth looking forward to, as it will make sure that you get your BlackBerry back if you lose it. If not that, you can make sure no one else uses it.

I am new blackberry… own curious if there is a way to switch this Sprint blackberry curve into a boost blackberry.. I bought it under assumption that it would switch right to boost….. after a long hour over the phone came to relize it will not switch. Any advice? A friend recommended me to your page
@Amanda Assuming the BlackBerry you have is a Sprint CDMA BlackBerry, you would have to get it unlocked then you could use it on the Boost Network (not the iDEN portion though just CDMA signal).
