How did the blogs and media outlets receive the PlayBook? There seemed to be consensus among them, and what I took from them is that perhaps waiting is the best idea here. That’s not going to make for a great launch next week, but the PlayBook is a long-term project. When the 3G and 4G models drop this summer we’ll see a big gain. Promo materials for many of the new BlackBerry smartphones leaked this week, which in one way makes me think they’re close to release. But since the Torch 2 is going to drop probably around August, and it was one of the devices featured, I’m not so sure. The takeaway here is that I can’t wait for BlackBerry World to find out more.
