If you use Facebook, it’s likely you’ve been invited to events by friends using the service. Facebook Events acts as a standalone calendar, allowing you to browse which events you’ve been invited to and which ones you’ll be attending. Wouldn’t it be cool if there were a way to sync up your Facebook Events on your BlackBerry calendar? Yeah, we can do that. It just takes a little help from Google.
First, open up both Google Calendar and Facebook. On your Facebook account, go to the events widget, probably on the right hand sidebar, and click See All. At the top you’ll see a link for Export Events. Click it. A dialog box will pop up with a link, which you will now copy. Now over to your Google Calendar. At the bottom of the “Other calendars” box there’s a link for Add. Click it and select Add by URL. Then paste the Facebook link. There you have it. Now your Facebook events will show up on Google calendar. The last step is to install and sync. You can check out our Google Sync walkthrough for further directions. You can sync all your calendars, or just your Facebook one if that’s all you need. Thanks to CrackBery user mantheron for the tip. NOTE: A quick note from our friend Cherri at AllThingsBerry – you may have issues syncing with a Today Theme that already has existing calendar events

Oh man this is a great tip, I’ll be trying this out right away. Thanks
Or you can wait for version 1.5 of the FB app (or grab the desktop install) to come out.
Love it! Thanks.
Has anyone been able to overcome the timezone issue? Followed directions no prob. From my PC I cannot change the timezone for “Facebook” cal from GMT. As a result (being EST) all my Facebook events are scheduled 5hrs “early”. Scratch that, 4hrs early. (WTF?) I have read up @ FB and they use detected settings on a PC. My general Gcal timezone is set correctly as well.
I am at a loss as to how to correct this.
Thank you for any help!
Has anyone had the problem of Facebook taking over your I Cal events and putting them on your blackberry as a Facebook event? Even though on your I Cal it is under your own personal stuff?
@Anna This happens quite often. Try Options -> Advanced Options -> Default Services, change the CICAL entry to what your calendar was previously then do a battery pull.
Let me know if this solved the issue.
how can I open FB and google calendar at the same time?
I tried opening calendar then FB but there no link such as export… Help !!
