Three or four apps a week can really add up. It doesn’t take long before my BlackBerry is filled to capacity. That leaves just two options. First, I can store apps on the SD card with Aerize Card Loader, something we’ll dive into later today. The other is delete applications. This usually happens en masse, when I realize that my BlackBerry is near capacity and desperately needs a purge. That’s because it takes a few clicks, and some load time, to get into the applications screen. But now with OS 6 you can easily delete applications one-by-one, right from the home screen.
To delete an application, just scroll to it on the home screen and press the menu button. Scroll down a bit and you’ll see the delete option that you’ve been seeking ever since you got your BlackBerry. I’m not sure why this was never included previously, but I suppose it had something to do with the way older operating systems were structured. From there just confirm that you want to delete the app, and you can bid it adieu. Your BlackBerry will go through the normal motions, which includes some wait time while it erases the app. And then, as usual, you’ll be prompted to restart your device in order to fully clear the app. Select yes, and you’re on your way. Or select no and delete a few other apps while you’re at it.

You do realize this is NOT new to BlackBerry 6? My Tour with 5.0.0.975 has this Delete capability, as does my Storm with 5.0.0.608.
