We all know that person. Maybe he takes a few too many liberties. Maybe he’s just downright obnoxious. Whatever the reason, you probably don’t want him to contact you via BlackBerry Messenger. Thanks to an updated knowledge base entry, we know how to do this in just a few steps. Additionally, the article also shows how to unblock a contact you might have accidentally blocked. That’s always a pain, so thankfully there’s a way to get out of it. Blocking an existing contact is simple. In BlackBerry Messenger scroll to the contact, click menu, and select Delete Contact. You’ll see a pop-up similar to the one on your right. If you want to prevent this contact from sending you invites in the future, check the box. Either way, when you’re ready to delete select Delete. Bye bye annoying contact. Sometimes you might get a contact request and accidentally block the contact. With a quick few steps you can undo that mistake. In BBM hit menu and go to Options. The second heading will read Ignored Contacts. Click on Edit and you’ll see a list of PINs. Scroll over the appropriate one and click the trackball/trackpad. Then scroll down to OK. That contact will no longer be blocked. Note: if you haven’t ignored any contacts you will not see the Ignored Contacts options in your BBM menu. Hat tip to BlackBerry Rocks for the find.
