Wirelessly sync iTunes to your PlayBook with iTunes Sync

by on November 30, 2011

One great thing about having even a 16GB tablet: the ability to load it up with media. While video is the obvious choice for a tablet, music is also essential. Desktop Manager works well enough as a media manager, but that means plugging in your PlayBook. Personally, I only want to plug in mine when it’s charging. That requires a wireless solution, and now App World features one. The simply named iTunes Sync makes the process of getting music on your PlayBook simple.

As with most iTunes sync apps, the beauty of iTunes Sync is that it requires little effort on the user’s part. You just add music as normal to your iTunes library. When you want to add those songs to your PlayBook, you simply open the app and press Sync. That will copy all new music from your iTunes library, wirelessly, to your PlayBook. Of course, your library might be larger than your PlayBook can support. I’m sporting nearly 50GB, which would barely fit even on the largest PlayBook. Plus, there’s rarely a need to have your entire library on your mobile device. iTunes Sync accommodates this type of user, too. There is a feature that gives you control over what music gets copied to your PlayBook. That way you can enjoy wireless sync while having a greater level of control over your disk space. With an app such as iTunes Sync in place, the PlayBook is pretty set when it comes to music. It might lack subscription services, such as Rhapsody or Spotify, but you can access your BBM Music tracks through it. That creates a pretty complete music environment. In essence, your BBM Music tracks supplement your personal library. If you’re ready to wirelessly sync your iTunes music to your PlayBook, you can get iTunes Sync for $2.99. Hat tip:
