TwitVid launches Twitter video app for BlackBerry

by on August 20, 2009

My my how Twitter has grown. Just a little Web-based microblogging service a few years ago, it has exploded in popularity, leading to the creation of countless access clients. We’ve featured many of the BlackBerry ones in the past month or so, including the popular UberTwitter. Yesterday we learned of a new Twitter service (though not a full client): TwitVid. They launched a BlackBerry video upload client, which is now available via BlackBerry App World. We’ll go over a bit after the jump. The app is as simple as can be, as you can see by the screenshot. Once you launch the application you can choose a preexisting video, or record a new one using your BlackBerry camera. Once you’re done you can type text into a tweet, and the video link will be automatically added. Once you post it, it’s ready to go. Some of you might have noticed TwitVid earlier this week when UberTwitter announced a new beta. The two entities have partnered, so TwitVid is already integrated into UberTwitter. So if you want an awesome BlackBerry Twiter client and video capabilities, you can just download UberTwitter. If you want to use a different Twitter client along with TwitVid, you can download it from BlackBerry App World for free. On a side note, it is awesome that we can now link directly to applications in App world.
