Facebook v2.0 brings some big improvements

by on July 27, 2011

As we heard they’d do earlier in the week, RIM went ahead and released the newest version of Facebook for BlackBerry. It brings plenty of changes, including a new, sleek user interface, native Facebook chat, and tons of other features, including BBM integration. There’s a full breakdown at Inside BlackBerry, where you can get some neat-looking screen shots. Make sure to watch the video above, too, for an excellent walk-through of the newest features. If your phone doesn’t automatically update, you can download Facebook for BlackBerry from App World. You’ll need OS 5 or better. If you have a PlayBook, you can download that version here.

Until it’s not possible to check and see groups, the app will remain a surrogate… Always better checking with the browser.

Good changes, but still very poor application.
