Create collages of your photos with PicMix

Looking for something to do with all the pictures in your BlackBerry’s camera roll? Why not make a collage out of them? Or better yet, a comic book! You can do these things and more with a free BlackBerry app called PicMix. It’s great for creating photo collages to share with your Facebook friends, or just to kill some time while you’re bored.

You start by creating frames for your pictures. Then you can slide in any one you want, into any frame. Touch it up with some effects, and add text if you want to.

The end product is a large-scale picture that you can share on social networks like Facebook and Twitter. PicMix is kind of a social network itself, since it lets you follow people and message with them. It even pulls your Facebook contacts to show you which of your friends is using PicMix.

You can view other photos created by PicMix community members, leaving them comments along the way. In previous versions of the free PicMix, each creation would be watermarked. That’s no fun. But the new version allows you to unlock the watermark, so your pictures will be clean and clear. That makes the app all worth it.

*Note by Joe: It appears that to remove the watermark you have to give them a 5-star rating in App World. That makes it look quite a bit worse than the 4-star rating through over 20,000 reviews. It’s also worth it, because it’s free.
