In one way, I’m a little torn about posting this item. After all, I’m sure the great majority of BBGeeks readers don’t use Chase bank. Yet at the same time, I’m pretty excited to post it, because I’ve been waiting for this. While Chase customers had easy access to their accounts via the BlackBerry browser, we haven’t had an app before. Now Chase has introduced the Chase Mobile app for BlackBerry, and it has all of those awesome features that the Android and iOS apps do. So, to be fair, I’ll go through and find some other mobile banking apps offered on the BlackBerry, in celebration of this excellent release.
Before we get to the list of banks, first a few quick words on the Chase Mobile app. The best feature of this app — one I know from also owning an Android smartphone — is instant deposit. While checks are less and less common these days, they still pop up every once in a while. That usually means a trip to the bank. No longer, with the mobile app. As long as your device has a camera of more than 2 megapixels and autofocus, you can deposit your checks from your home. The only times I need to go to the bank now are when I need quarters for laundry. As to other bank apps, here’s a quick list and links to each in App World
These, of course, are US banks. Searching through for the Big Five banks in Canada, I did not see any mobile apps. Is there something I’m missing, or do they just not have mobile apps?

Excellent, Fred. Odd that they don’t have them in App World.
