Berry Locator helps forgetful BlackBerry users

by on February 7, 2008

You can’t tell me you’ve never lost your BlackBerry. Okay, maybe if you got it in the past month or so. But it’s inevitable. At one point or another, probably when you need it the most, your BlackBerry will go into hiding. You’ll check under the cushions, in the bathroom, in all of your dresser drawers, in the trunk of your car…and it will be nowhere. For this, we now have Berry Locator. It’s kind of like the handset finder from your cordless phone. So if you’re about to punch a wall in frustration, stop for a second and head to your computer. Send a trigger email to your device, and it will start beeping. Follow the beeps to your phone. Of course, that won’t help you if you left your phone at the bar last night. In that case, your email’s content will automatically be displayed on the screen, so you can leave instructions for anyone who finds it. DISCLAIMER: Decision on whether to follow those instructions is at the sole discretion of the person who found your phone. If you’re one of the fortunate who have a BlackBerry with GPS, Berry Locator will display the location of your phone. Which is great, except in cases where the phone is in your house. “I know that!” you’ll scream as you reach into the cracks of the couch for the fifth time. You can nab a free trial. The full service is $4.99. Get all the info at Berry Locator. [IntoMobile]

Yeah, BerryLocator is good but I think BerrySnooper is better. It not only locates your phone when lost , but also detects if you phone has been stolen and the sim card has been changed. See for yourself http://pepper.pk/berrysnooper
