Application Resource Monitor lets to catch battery-killing apps before they strike

by on August 30, 2012

It has happened to all of us at some point or another. We’re going about our days as normal, but when we check our BlackBerry there’s almost no battery left. What gives? This can happen at any time, even if you’re not using your phone heavily. The culprit: resource-draining apps running in the background. Thankfully, RIM has released an app for BlackBerry OS 7.1 devices that helps take care of that pesky issue. The app works pretty simply. It itself runs in the background and lets you know when its eating up your system resources. You can then nuke that app so it will stop unnecessarily draining your battery. Keep it running to ensure that none of your currently running apps drain your battery and leave you scrambling. With this app you might not need a spare or extended battery. Combine it with our screen-dimming tip and you should have plenty of battery all throughout the day. Again, this is available only for BlackBerry OS 7.1 and up. Chances are we’re not going to see support for older models — though you never do know. You can download Application Resource Monitor from App World. Via CrackBerry.
