Pandora users will love the transparent widget
by Joe Pawlikowski on August 12, 2011

Which application do you use most frequently on your Android? For me it’s not even close. Every day when I’m out, whether in the car or taking a walk, I load up Pandora. For my money it’s the best freely available streaming radio option, and it works like a charm on my N1. The one thing it lacks is a widget, but it was only a matter of time before someone developed one. Imagine my delight, then, when I saw such a widget on
xda. As you can see in the screenshot, it’s a transparent widget, too, blending seamlessly into your home screen. You can track forward, pause, thumbs up, or thumbs down a song without going back into the app. It’s also nice to see the artist and song on your home screen, rather than in the notifications bar. There’s no Android Market listing for this one, so you’ll have to allow for non-Market apps (Setting -> Applications -> Check the Unknown Sources box) and then go to

You do realize that Pandora already has a widget right?
Nice article! I love Pandora too! However, from your picture may I ask which clock you are using?
Can you tell me which clock you downloaded? The one that is on the picture of this article. I like the simplicity of it.
Did you really just say that Pandora lacked a widget? All this widget is a transparent version of pandoras own widget.
You clearly have no idea what your are talking about
Dude the stock Pandora app most certainly comes with a widget if fact it looks exactly the same as the transparent one except it has a black background. You probably don’t have it because like most Android apps that get moved to the SD card their widget goes away. Move Pandora back to the phone storage and you’ll get the stock widget back. A reboot may be needed after moving it.
What clock are you using?
Thanks for the post! Do you happen to know what app/ widget is being used for the clock and weather in the screenshot above? Thanks very much!
