Since 2008 the Android platform has been changing the smartphone world. It all started with the T-Mobile G1, but Android got its big break with the Motorola Droid on Verizon. The “Droid Does” marketing campaign still remains fresh in many consumers’ minds, and many of them continue to refer to all Android smartphones as Droids. There are many dozen different Android handsets available from numerous manufacturers. Samsung currently leads the pack, though Motorola, HTC, LG, and others have many successes to their names.
